About

Seven logins to sell a flat white. We built the alternative.

The origin

A QSR job turned into a product.

MILK started inside a small QSR group. Working across the business, the same frustration came up every single week: seven different software platforms to run one café. POS over here, EFTPOS over there, rostering elsewhere, loyalty in another tab, accounting in yet another, and none of it talking to each other.

Owners were paying seven subscriptions to do the work of one. Managers were re-keying the same data across systems. And nothing — none of it — was actually using the rich data each tool was sitting on to make the café better.

MILK is the answer to that. One system, modular by design — the till, the roster, the stockroom, the loyalty card and online ordering all sharing one set of numbers, so the pile of subscriptions can go.

How we build A few things we believe
01

One system beats seven subscriptions.

Fragmented tools means fragmented data. Fragmented data means no one ever sees the full picture. We built the opposite.

02

Your terminal, your rates.

MILK never takes a cut of your takings. Cards run through your own EFTPOS provider at the rates you already have, and online orders pay straight into your own Stripe account.

03

Modular pricing, no upsells.

You shouldn't pay for modules you don't use. Start with POS, add what fits, remove what doesn't.

04

AI should earn its keep.

Not a chatbot. Specific, dollar-attached suggestions that show their working — and it only ever suggests. You decide.

05

Built for the counter, not the boardroom.

MILK is built by someone who's run the floor, and shaped alongside a working Kiwi café. Features come from what an owner asked for at 7:45am, not from a feature checklist.

06

Designed in New Zealand.

Your menu priced GST-inclusive the way NZ retail actually works, your own EFTPOS terminal at the counter, and a GST report ready for your return. Built for how cafés here operate.

How it fits together

One suite, not four apps.

Every part of MILK talks to the others. The till, the roster, the stock count, the loyalty card — one café, one set of numbers, nothing re-keyed from one system into another.

That's what lets a report answer a question a single tool can't. What sold, what it cost you, who was on the floor, and whether the day was worth opening for — all off the same afternoon's trading.

The more modules you switch on, the more of that joins up. Start with the till and add what fits.
